On Monday, Feb 26th, American Legion Post 248 Commander James C. “Jim” Callender presented a donation of $500 to Mandi Hydr of the Fannin County Family Connection to help them fulfill their mission of support for people in need within Fannin County. Post members also answered their call for help recently during the period of extreme cold weather and assisted in setting up and staffing the Warming Shelter. Part of the mission of the American Legion is to serve the Community and, in particular, assist with emergency preparedness.
