As we begin a new year, many people start with the mantra new year, new me. What if we truly challenged ourselves and changed the mantra to new year, better me. What if a commitment to community as a group and our neighbors became a pillar of our lives? According to Websters dictionary online the defi-nition of community is a group of people in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. A feeling of fellowship with others, because of sharing common attitudes, interests, or goals. We live in a beautiful area of the country; we are blessed to have a large community of veterans. This veteran community has an abundance of shared experiences and untapped potential.
