A trio of flags, each with its own history, are destined to be framed and hung in the commission conference room in the Fannin County Courthouse. The third, an American Legion flag depicting the location of the first American Legion Post in Fannin County, was presented to commissioners last week.
Post was originally chartered in McCaysville in 1980. Legion members received permission last year to move the official location to Blue Ridge, so a new flag be came necessary.
